ExpressVPN uses anonymous analytics to improve its services. When you set up the ExpressVPN app, your app will ask for permission to collect analytics. No analytics are collected without your permission. The ExpressVPN Privacy Policy outlines how data is collected and processed.

To see instructions on enabling or disabling analytics, select a platform below.

Windows

  1. Click on the hamburger menu (≡)
  2. Select Options
  3. Click on the Advanced tab
  4. To enable or disable analytics, check or uncheck the box under Help improve ExpressVPN.

  4. To enable or disable analytics, check or uncheck the box next to Help improve ExpressVPN.

  2. Select Settings
  3. Tap on Help Improve ExpressVPN
  4. To enable or disable analytics, slide the toggle next to Help Improve ExpressVPN.

  1. To view whether the ExpressVPN Linux app is sending analytics, enter: expressvpn preferences
  2. If send_diagnostics is true, you can disable sending analytics by entering: expressvpn preferences set send_diagnostics false
  3. If send_diagnostics is false, you can enable sending analytics by entering: expressvpn preferences set send_diagnostics true

ExpressVPN router app

  1. On the router dashboard, go to VPN > VPN Options
  2. To enable or disable analytics, check or uncheck the box under Diagnostic data (for the ExpressVPN DD-WRT router app) or Help improve ExpressVPN (for the ExpressVPN OpenWRT router app).
